    Paste the link in your job post or send it to applicants. They take it on their phone in about 7 minutes, plus about 2 minutes for each question of yours.

    You read and listen

    Your private results page ranks everyone: overall, spoken English, each skill, our notes and red flags, and every answer to play.

What a cold caller applicant does

The same tasks as Hire Now's own Real Estate Cold Caller interview, answered by voice. Lead manager, acquisitions, dispositions, appointment setting, sales and support roles have their own.

  • Your opener

    The dialer connects and a man says: “Hello?” You're calling Robert about his rental house at 1402 Oak Street. Say your first two or three sentences.

  • Not interested, then stop

    Robert says: “Not interested.” Reply once to keep the conversation open. Then he says: “I said no. Don't call me again.” Say both of your replies.

  • The four pillars

    Robert says: “Maybe. The tenants left it a mess. What would you pay?” Don't guess a number. Ask what you need to know, one question at a time: the condition, his timeline, why he'd sell, and his price.

Each spoken answer is also scored for clarity, fluency, pace and confidence, so you hear who's easy to understand at phone speed before you spend time on a call.

What to listen for in each answer, with a scoring sheet you can also use by hand: the cold caller role-play test and the appointment setter role-play test.

What it isn't

  • A hiring decision. Scores are a guide; you still interview the people you like.
  • A recruiter. We don't contact, recruit or place your applicants, and we don't list them for anyone else.
  • A language test for every language. The interview is in English.

Questions

Do applicants pay anything?
No. Applicants never pay. They take the interview free on their phone or computer, after agreeing that you receive their answers, recordings, scores and contact details for this job.
Can I screen applicants outside Egypt?
Yes. A link can take applicants from any country, for example the people who answer your job post on a job board. The interview is in English.
What do I get?
A private results page: every applicant with an overall score, a spoken-English score, a score for each skill, our notes and red flags, and each answer to read and listen to, best scores first. You can download it as a spreadsheet.
Is Hire Now recruiting or placing my applicants?
No. We run the interview and give you the results. We don't contact, recruit or list your applicants for anyone else.
How do I pay?
Your first job post is free. For the next one, open your results page and choose "Set up my next job post": the new link works straight away, we email an invoice, and you pay by bank transfer within 7 days.
How long are recordings kept?
Recordings are deleted 90 days after each interview, so download anything you want to keep.
