If you apply for work

What we collect

• From the apply form: your name, phone number, email, and who referred you, if anyone (the referrer's phone number you add, or the referral link you came through).
• From the quick questions: the job you want, your experience level, and whether you can work US hours.
• From the skills interview: your typed answers, recordings of your spoken answers, written transcripts, and the scores and feedback produced from them.
• If you add them: a voice intro and proof of past work.
• For identity checks: confirmation of your phone number, a photo of your ID, and a short video.
• If you use the Academy: your account's email, the scores and measures from your practice (such as words per minute), and your earlier interview when you start a retake.

Why we use it

• To assess your skills for the job you chose and show you your results.
• To list an anonymous profile for approved employers and pass on job offers.
• To contact you about your application.
• To stop fake or duplicate applications.
• To check that our scoring is accurate and fair.

We rely on the consent you give when you apply, and again when you agree to an updated version of this notice. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us; we then stop using your data and delete it, unless the law requires us to keep something.

AI in the interview

An AI model asks the interview questions and scores your answers. Our team reviews results before any profile is listed for employers, and you can ask for a person to review your result.

The Academy (practice and retakes)

• An account connects to your interview only from your private interview link. When it does, we email the address you applied with, so you'd notice if it wasn't you.
• Practice recordings go to AI models from Google, and possibly OpenAI, to be transcribed, scored and checked sound by sound. We don't keep the recording or the transcript: only the scores and measures, plus a fingerprint of each recording (a code that can't be turned back into sound) so the same recording can't be sent twice.
• When you start a retake, we keep your earlier interview (answers, recordings, transcripts and scores) so our team can compare attempts. Employers only ever see your latest result.

Who sees it

• Approved employers see your anonymous profile: your scores and your voice intro (and a video pitch only if you chose to add one). They don't see your name, phone, email, ID or verification video; your contact details are shared only after you accept an offer.
• Service providers that run parts of Hire Now for us: Lovable (hosting, database and email), Google (the AI models that run and score the interview and Academy practice), OpenAI (reads the interviewer's questions aloud, from the question text only, and may transcribe Academy practice recordings), Akedly (phone verification codes) and Cloudflare (bot protection).
• We never sell your data.

Transfers outside Egypt

Employers are mostly in the United States, and our service providers process data on servers outside Egypt. We only share what each of them needs for the purposes above.

How long we keep it

We delete the photo of your ID and your verification video as soon as each check is decided. We keep the rest, including earlier interviews kept for a retake, while your application is open, and delete it when you ask us to or once we no longer need it. Practice scores stay with your account until you ask us to delete them.

Age

You must be 18 or older to apply.

If you take an employer's assessment

Some employers send their own applicants a Hire Now assessment link. The page names the employer before you start. If you apply through one:

• That employer receives your name, phone number and email, your answers (including recordings of your spoken answers), your scores and our notes on your interview, for the job they're hiring for.
• Hire Now doesn't list you for other employers or use your assessment to recruit you.
• We delete the recordings of your spoken answers 90 days after your interview, and the rest when you or the employer ask us to.
• Everything else above (the AI in the interview, our service providers, your rights) applies the same way.

If you hire through Hire Now

We collect your name, company, work email and phone, what you're hiring for, and your payment records. We use them to provide the service, send you candidates, and keep accounts. The same service providers listed above host this data.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. We also use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, and Google Ads measurement to see which ads bring visitors. If you follow someone's referral link, your browser keeps its code for 60 days, so the person who shared it is credited if you apply or ask us for candidates. You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser.

Your rights

Under Egyptian law you can:

• ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
• correct data that's wrong or incomplete;
• ask us to delete your data, or to limit how we use it;
• withdraw your consent;
• be told if a data breach affects your data.

Email privacy@hire-now.xyz from the address you applied with. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to Egypt's Personal Data Protection Center (PDPC).
