Remote Job Scams in Egypt 2026: 8 Red Flags That Should Make You Run

Red flag 1: They charge you a fee

Run. Real employers and real hiring platforms don't charge candidates. A "training fee", a "background check fee" or "a share of your first paycheck" is a scam. Hire Now never charges candidates anything.

Red flag 2: They ask for a password or a code

No real employer needs your bank password or a one-time code sent to your phone. If anyone asks, block them.

Red flag 3: "Pay for the equipment and we'll refund you"

A "refundable deposit" for a laptop or headset is a classic scam. Real employers either send equipment themselves or ask you to use your own.

Red flag 4: The pay is too good to be true
